are there plans to make new alix (x86) with 1gbit nics?

Would also like to have alix with 1GBit ports

I have also waited for a alix with 1gbit nics. I was a very happy alix user but the performance was to low for my 150mbit/s internet connection

Now i have found also a nice board soekris net6501 and i'm also very happy with this product ( http://soekris.com/products/net6501.html )

I agree, the soekris net6501 is very nice. but let's not forget that it costs roughly three times as much as an ALIX.

Happy for years with my ALIX boards, but within 2 months upc-cablecom will update my internet access to 150 Mbit/s. If they really bring that speed, my ALIX will not be able to handle it. 

So i would also be very interested in new boards with (multiple) 1GB interfaces.
